While many factors contribute to this, employee retention and engagement continue to be a key challenge for leaders around the globe. What was once “nice to have” has become a “must have” and requires a holistic perspective, looking at both the system level and the employee levels. Aside from system-level changes related to strategy, organizational culture, and processes, managers have a key role in driving employee engagement as those who have the highest daily interaction with employees. They need to have increased awareness of their employees’ engagement levels and practical ways of impacting them.

This lecture will tackle key business and labor trends so managers gain an understanding of how they impact employees. The Engagement Battery model for building employee engagement will be demonstrated and used to explore how to strengthen engagement in different levels of the organization.

Shared LeadDisruption, which for many has become the new normal, relates to a personal and organizational state that redefines the borders of what we do, who our customers are, and the value we create. This requires constant innovation, agility, and adaptability to change (in the system, product, and human aspects) within inherent complexity. Solo leadership, characterized by linear and hierarchical relationships, is no longer enough to successfully thrive in disruption. This requires harnessing the power of many.

Shared Leadership is a foundational element for leading within a complex world. It enfolds not just the mindset of leading together, but the critical practices of influencing together and moving from being an effective team of leaders to a leading management team.

This lecture provides a deeper understanding of the context in which leaders operate and its impact on leadership. It also introduces the concept of shared leadership and how it relates to the leadership role, and provides key insights and practices for implementing shared leadership.

Managing & accelerating org talentTalent is one of the most used terms in the HR world today. CEOs C-suite executives, alongside people experts and executives, are preoccupied with their organizations’ abilities to manage their most expensive resource, the one that will make or break their success today and in the future. However, the approach to the notion of talent is very diverse, as is the approach to how it should be managed. How do we approach the ‘vital many’ vs the ‘select few?’ How do we effectively accelerate the development of our key value generators? What are the key success factors of our talent programs, and why are they not working? This lecture will tackle some of these challenges. Starting with some key notions in the world of talent, with focusing on the challenges of managing organizational talent and creating effective talent acceleration processes for organizations of all kinds, from huge conglomerates to start-ups are dealing with scale.Iris Isakov
Building a culture of synchronized empowermentGrowing organizations are faced with many challenges, one of which is finding the right balance between dedicating time and resources for effective alignment between the different parts to ensure movement towards one common direction, on the one hand, and empowering the different parts to work autonomously, so the organization can keep its speed and agility on the other.. Navigating the tension between these two seemingly contradicting demands is difficult, especially when a cultural adjustment needs to be made to the organizations’ mindset and way of working. The lecture will map the challenges of alignment and empowerment (autonomy) and will give a framework for leading the needed cultural change.Shula Dela Pergola
Entrepreneurship & LeadershipOur world is constantly on the move. Faster, wider, more complex. Every day new pains and challenges emerge that create new needs. Entrepreneurship is born out of those pains and challenges. It continually closes those gaps and responds to new challenges by bringing solutions. Solutions needed by the world, and by our organizations.

How do you become an entrepreneur? What is the process of creation? How is an idea born and incubated, and how does it become a reality? What is the leadership aspect of entrepreneurship and innovation? What is the leader’s role in creating a space for innovation? These are some of the aspects we will explore in this lecture.
